Position Description
The Freshman Girls Volleyball Coach coordinates programming in collaboration with the Head Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach. This role is responsible for providing direction to student-athletes to help them achieve high skill levels while fostering an appreciation for physical fitness, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Note: This position requires travel, evening/weekend work, and involvement in summer league program development.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Coordinate and supervise the Freshman Girls Volleyball program; develop appropriate training programs and practice schedules.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Branson and League policies; maintain a safe environment for student-athletes at all times.
Student Supervision: Supervise athletes at home and away games; ensure adherence to training rules, academic requirements, and behavioral standards.
Communication: Maintain regular contact with parents regarding team operations; resolve conflicts professionally.
Operations: Manage equipment and uniform inventory, storage, and maintenance; submit budget requests to the Athletic Director for approval.
Administrative: Maintain accurate records and complete timecards via Paycom punctually.
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).
Experience: 1–2 years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level (preferred).
Certifications: CPR Certified through the American Red Cross; valid driver’s license (required to transport athletes to off-campus events).
Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; excellent oral and written communication.
Qualities: Ability to interact thoughtfully with a diverse community, maintain confidentiality, and act as a professional representative of the school.
Physical Requirements
Exertion: Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently.
Mobility: Standing for long periods, walking long distances, and bending at hips/knees.
Environment: Ability to work in noisy, crowded environments and carry equipment/coolers.
